Long to do list before the BIG race! Clean the winches, check the mast, pack the food for the 1 etap, buying petrol (25l) for my generator (Honda  EX 7), check my sails and small reparations. Pack the sails, tools etc. and try to minimize the weight…  36liter water / 9l survivel water. I changed the enginee in my Raymarine autopilot because before a long single-handed voyage I think the autopilot has to be 100% reliable! I changed the liferaft door seal…. Plus clean the boat!!! :-))

Before the MiniTransat every skipper had to visite the ‘Sea Survival and Rescue’ course. It was very useful!  The Mini 650 sailing and racing, especially the MiniTransat is very dangerous. In 2011, Jean-Marc Allaire (464, Pogo2) died at sea…

I got the charts yesterday, the organizer ask 15 charts… we can not use digital charts in the race:

In this week Felicity was out from the water. I had to change the depth transduce (Raymarine) and the wind vane also:

and of course:

sailing – sailing – sailing // boat preparation – boat preparation – boat preparation // AND training for physical fitness

This is my matra 🙂

I am again in Lorient and Felicity (585) again in the water. I start the training tomorrow… I had 3days working: boat painting and reparation.

This year I will be again in the Budapest Boat Show stage. I will have a short presentation about the Mini 650 sailing and the MiniTransat. Anyone can ask questions, this will be a friendly chat. Sea You 🙂

Hungary is a landlock country, we have no sea and no ocean… It is situated in the Carpathian Basin and is bordered by Slovakia to the north, Ukraine, and Romania to the east, Serbia, and Croatia to the south, Slovenia to the southwest and Austria to the west.

Hungary is one of the thirty most popular tourist destinations in the world, attracting 10.2 million tourists a year (2011). The country is home to the largest thermal water cave system[15] and the second largest thermal lake in the world (Lake Hévíz), the largest lake in Central Europe (Lake Balaton), and the largest natural grasslands in Europe (Hortobágy).
